Reuse your packing list with templates
Updated June 29, 2026
Templates are saved packing lists you reuse. Build your “beach weekend” or “ski trip” list once, then start any similar trip from it — or load it into a trip you've already begun — instead of starting from scratch.
If your trips rhyme, your packing lists should too. A template is your baseline for a kind of trip, so you never rebuild the same list twice.
Step by step
- Save or pick a template. Save a trip's list as a template, or choose one of your existing templates.
- Start a trip from it. Choose “Start from template” when creating a trip to pre-fill the whole checklist instantly.
- Or load it into a trip you've started. Already have a trip open? Load a template into it and its items merge into your existing checklist.
- Tune the result. Edit, add, and remove items — a template is a starting point, not a cage.
Questions & troubleshooting
Can I load a template into a trip I already started?
Yes. Open the trip and load a template into it; its items merge into your existing checklist rather than replacing it.
I loaded a template and see duplicates — why?
Loading merges a template's items in rather than replacing your list, so anything you'd already added that overlaps can appear twice. Remove the overlap to tidy up.
