Pack your first trip in Alba

To pack a trip in Alba, create the trip, let Alba build a starter checklist from your destination and dates, then tap items off until the readiness ring reaches 100%. Alba always shows what's still missing, so nothing slips past you.
A packing list only works if it tells you what you've forgotten, not just what you might bring. Alba turns every trip into one readiness checklist and keeps a single “% ready” number front and centre, so you can see at a glance how close you are and exactly what's left.
Step by step
- Create the trip. Open the Trips tab and start a new trip.
- Set destination and dates. Enter where you're going and when. Alba builds a starter checklist grouped into sections — Essentials, travel documents, clothing, and more.
- Scan what's still missing. On the home screen, the “Still to pack” list shows what's left, each with a Rausch dot marking what needs attention first.
- Pack items off. Open the trip and tap the status circle on each item as you pack it. The green readiness ring fills and the number counts up live.
- Make the list yours. Add anything personal that's missing and remove what you won't bring — the readiness score reflects your list, not a generic one.
- Reach 100%. You're packed when the ring reads 100%. Every item is checked off and nothing is left in the “still missing” list.
Questions & troubleshooting
What does “% ready” actually mean?
It's the share of your trip's items you've checked off, across every section — exactly checked ÷ total. Pack an item and the ring fills and the number climbs, so the figure is something you can trust at a glance.
The readiness number isn't moving — why?
Make sure you're tapping the status circle on each item to mark it packed. Only checked items count toward the percentage.
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can start packing as a guest and everything stays on your device. Sign up to keep your trips, sync across devices, or pack with other people.
