What is a power bank?

Also called portable charger, battery pack

A power bank is a portable battery that recharges your phone or other devices on the move, without a wall socket. For flights it must travel in your carry-on, never checked baggage, because airlines restrict lithium batteries in the hold.

Airlines also cap the size of battery you can bring, measured in watt-hours (Wh), and the limits change — check your airline's current rules if you carry a large power bank.
