What is a travel insurance?
Travel insurance is a policy that covers financial losses when a trip goes wrong — medical emergencies abroad, trip cancellation, delays, and lost or stolen baggage. Cover and exclusions vary widely, so what a policy pays for depends on its specific terms.
Read the limits, excess, and exclusions before buying, and check that the medical cover is adequate for your destination and activities — it's the part that matters most far from home.
