What is a proof of onward travel?
Also called onward ticket
Proof of onward travel is evidence that you'll leave a country before your permitted stay ends — usually a booked flight, train, or bus ticket out. Some destinations and airlines ask for it at check-in or the border, especially for one-way or open-ended trips.
Whether it's required depends on your nationality and destination and can change, so check the official entry rules before you fly on a one-way ticket.
